One of the best stringensemles ever made because you can have its main stringensemble sound in three octaves at one time. Not enough, you can tweek the level of each octave with a slider. This is much better than two octaves with on/off switches as on the Solina String Ensemble. If you use all three octaves at one time you are going away from typical stringensemble sounds to those who reminds on organs. Another good point is that you have full access to its ensemble effect which consists of chorus and tremolo. For both of them you have an own slider to change intensity (on the Solina you just could switch the complete ensemble effect on or off and the Elka Rhapsody´s effect is always on without changing anything). The best of the Godwin String Concert is that it has an own VCA envelope for every voice you play. This means you can have a slow attack/fade in on every note you play which isn´t the case with the other instruments I mentioned. There is also an equalizer for bass and treble.

If you ever get the opportunity to buy one, do it! The problem is that they are very rare and often do not work correctly (I had to send mine to service but now it works perfect).

Comments About the Sounds:
Even with its few sliders its range of sounds goes from typical stringensemble sounds to analog churchorgan simulation. Its basic sound is a mixture between stringensemble and organ with a dark character inside.
