NAMM 2014 - We saw the Anglebird SSD range from Austria tucked away on a table in a shared booth. These are custom, individually made, SSD drives with CNC milled aluminium enclosures that create highly efficient heat dissipation. This actually increases the life of an SSD considerably they tell us.

If you go for some of the enterprise class SSD options, the memory used is specially selected from closer to the centre of the die which makes them more fault tollerant etc. I never knew that.

You can create your own SSD from a range of levels of quality and capacity. I must confess, I dont often go gooey over hard drives, but these are beautiful things.

Prices start at around $279
