At The London Synth and Pedal Expo, Girts from Erica Synths shared some exciting updates on their educational synthesizer, Bullfrog.

They have been developing a sampler looper voice card and are working on a gesture controller card to turn Bullfrog into a performance-oriented device.

Additionally, a teacher's version called Bullfrog XL, inspired by the MS-20 Teachers Edition, will be launching soon, complete with built-in oscilloscope and speakers to aid in teaching sound physics and music technology.

In other news, Girts also revealed a limited run of 20 black Perkons drum amchines with custom side panels that sold out in just 40 minutes.

Due to popular demand, they will be releasing a larger stock of black Perkins in three weeks, featuring the same price but without the special side panels.

The black color was chosen due to manufacturing issues with their original jet fighter cockpit blue color, showcasing the challenges faced in producing unique and visually appealing synthesizers. For more information on Bullfrog and Perkins products:
