This video from Mixvibes showcases the finger drumming skills of 2019 world champion Pedro Le Kraken. In this performance, he uses their Remixlive software (iOS/Android) to build some really creative beats. Very impressive, though it does look like he would benefit from some actual pads to play the software with. There's something a little tricksy about playing areas on glass accurately without a physical pad to bash from the looks of it.
Pedro is also an Ambassador for Akaï Professional, as well as a producer / finger drummer who has become a must-see on the current scene. The Frenchman is considered a bit of a genius of finger drumming, taking 1st prize at the "Sample Music Festival 2019" competition in Berlin. And looking at his other works, its not just his ability to finger drum, but the clever way he puts together sets of samples to create complex beats.
Here's one with the MPC Live:
Remixlive is a free app for iOS and Android with in-app purchases. These options include a monthly/yearly subscription plan for certain "Pro" features and extra sample content. Although Le Kraken uses the software essentially as a live pad controller, triggering clips and one-shots in an non-quantised fashion, the app actually features step sequencing, BPM-synced looping and a timeline to arrange your masterpiece.
