Here are all the details:

GPU Audio have announced the launch of a beat making competition, alongside a free sample pack to get you off the ground. The 'GPU Audio Beat Battle' will take place over the month of August, putting submitted entries in a series of head to head battles, in a football World Cup format. Over $2,000 of prizes are on offer for the winners including software from MNTRA, Audio Thing, Sonible, Bedroom Producer Blog, MusicByLukas, and more.

To enter, make a beat over 1 minute long and submit it via the Beat Battle Channel on the GPU Audio Discord Server with a short (maximum 300 word) description of how you made it. The competition is open for entries now, with submissions closing on the 24th of August, followed by a week of voting - putting the beats head-to-head to decide the overall winner! A number of live Discord events will accompany the competition, starting with the launch on the 2nd August.

Entrants are encouraged to use GPU Audio's free beta plugins, available for Windows and MacOS to process their beats or some elements within it. Sign up to the GPU Audio website here to download the free audio plugins - which include a Phaser, Flanger, Chorus, Delay, and two Convolution Reverbs.

To get you started, GPU Audio are offering a collection of Free Drum Samples, featuring over 150 royalty free samples, chosen for their beatmaking energy. The sample pack features Kicks, Snares, Hats, Cymbals, Percussion, and more - download it for free by logging into the GPU Audio website, and heading to the download area.

Channel your inner Timbaland, J Dilla, and Calvin Harris - show off your skills to prove who can  make the biggest beats! All genres of music are welcome as long as there is a beat present, and the winners will be voted on by the GPU Audio Discord Community, which is free to join. You'll also be able to get feedback, updates, and support in the Discord server - so if you're using their plugins and you have some questions, you can ask there!

GPU Audio are the creators of pioneering technology which  harnesses the immense processing power of your computer's graphics card to process audio. They're about to launch a number of partner products which will use their incredible technology - including a GPU Powered version of Vienna Symphonic Library's MIR Pro 3D Multi Impulse Response Plugin.
