Dark Mass is created by Richard Veenstra and Allert Aalders of The Solos, who explain: "Dark Mass has that ominous, dark and raw sound which is basically The Solos' signature sound." Dark Mass contains 151 unique sounds that range from deep subs, decomposed basses, and soaring leads to more momentous, and spacious rhythmic sounds.
