Free Virtual Concerts For Piano Day

Today, March 29th is Piano Day - the 88th day of the year to celebrate the instrument in line with the number of keys one has. Erased Tapes are hosting an online concert starting at 8pm GMT tonight, on their YouTube channel. The event will feature solo piano performances from Lubomyr Melnyk in Sweden, Douglas Dare in London, Arthur Jeffes of Penguin Cafe in Italy to David Allred in Portland, USA.

The Piano Day website features a huge range of celebrations across the globe. The Erased Tapes event is raising money for Milk and Honey in London -- a female led, expressive safe space that aims to allow young women to feel empowered and heal from their experiences. The free event will be available on demand for 30 days. Find out more about the Erased Tapes event here:

There are also Piano Day playlists on Spotify and Soundcloud to whet your appetite for later.
