Selling synths in the modern era is generally a very sleek and subtle affair, with manufacturers offering smooth dolly shots, close up adjustments and slow motion movements. It was a different story in the late 1980s as this advert for the Yamaha DX100 shows. 

It's tagline of 'Anything's Possible' may be slightly over zealous but if you can bare the VHS hiss (or Storm Wind as its known) you're treated to a factual overview under the guise of the unveiling of a more sizable Yamaha machine. 
We think the inspiration must have come from an aftershave ad campaign from around the same era..
