Dave Smith is having a great year so far - not only has he retrieved the Sequential Circuits brand name in an inprecedented bit of Yamaha love, but he's shown that it is possible to ma e a true analog poly synth. The Prophet-6 is a VCO based analog poly taking the history of the classic Prophet -5 and making it 6-voice. And released another DS series Eurorack Modular with the DS02.

Actually its NOT a P-5, as Dave is keen to point out, he's not trying to create a throw back or a reissue, but something worthy of the SCI Prophet name but more, you know, now.

Certainly sounds lush, the cunning use of DSP controlled voltages to keep the voices tuned and stable, plue the addition of a dual effects section makes the Prophet-6 capable of some lovely sounds. No menus, just analog.

Still in development, but expected to be in the region of $3800, $2800. Truth is is if you want analog poly, its going to take some bean$.
