The cool thing about this time of year are all the best of lists - perfect for someone who doesn't generally keep on top of the latest releases and trends in the super-fast moving world of the club dancefloor. Read as: get out much. (ie: me).

One such list was posted on Beatport - the number one DJ and dance resource (imho). The editors have put together a 10 Must-Hear Tracks and Remixes of the Year post.

With some cracking stuff on there, you also get to hear some of the cutting edge in dance music production.

I think the stand out track for me on that list is the mad production on Spectrum feat Matthew Koma (Extended Mix) by Zedd - just bursting with ideas and energy.
