UK-based composer, performer, software architect and media artist Nick Rothwell demonstrates how he tracked the UK election results in Ableton Live, using The Guardian's Open Platform API, Max for Live and Jython.

According to Rothwell, "It is perhaps a sign of the times that I learned of two key Liberal Democrat defeats - Lembit Opik (Montgomeryshire) and Susan Kramer (ousted by Zac Goldsmith in Richmond Park) - directly in Ableton Live's Session View."

Think that there's still something that you can't do in Ableton Live?
