He managed to get 500 music videos for his single "Wait For Me" for $7,000 in prizes, as part of a video contest. According to Moby, "i was hoping to have 30 or 40 submissions, but we received around 500, and honestly 95% of them are pretty amazing." That other 5% is eye-scorchingly bad, but it's still an amazing example of what can happen when musicians inspire their fans. Link:
