Here's the press release that A-T have sent us...
As part of its unparalleled dedication to its end users and confidence in its products, Audio-Technica, a leading innovator in transducer technology for over 45 years, is extending the warranty on its entire acclaimed line of 40 Series microphones. Effective immediately, all 40 Series microphones purchased through an authorized U.S. A-T dealer now come standard with a 5-year warranty. Recent purchases from authorized U.S. A-T dealers, going back to January 1, 2009, are also covered retroactively by this extended warranty.
Included in the warranty are the recently-unveiled AT4080 and AT4081 Bidirectional Active Ribbon Microphones, AT4050ST Stereo Condenser Microphone and AT4047MP Multi-pattern Condenser Microphone, which debuted to much excitement earlier this fall. Also covered are classic 40 Series models such as the AT4040 Cardioid Condenser Microphone and the AT4050 Multi-pattern Condenser Microphone, among many others.
"The move to extend the warranty reflects Audio-Technica's confidence in the quality of our 40 Series and shows the company's dedication to unbeatable customer service," explains Greg Pinto, Audio-Technica U.S. V.P. of Marketing. "The 40 Series has become a standard in quality for microphones in both studio and live settings. We sincerely thank our valued users for their passion for our 40 Series and their continued support for our products. We stand behind every microphone we manufacture, and it makes sense to give our customers the extra assurance that their microphone investment will operate with the same level of quality well into the future."
