PreSonus have announced that their AudioBox USB 2x2 USB recording system is now in production and is scheduled to ship in April. The AudioBox USB, first revealed at this year’s NAMM show, is a USB bus-powered interface with 2 mic/instrument preamps with 48V phantom power, 2 balanced TRS outputs, MIDI Input/Output, and a playback mixer knob on the front panel allowing you to adjust the volume level between your recording and existing tracks. The AudioBox USB ships complete with the PreSonus ProPak software suite featuring Steinberg’s Cubase LE 4 as well as a bundle of third party plug-ins, loops and drum samples.
