AAS were showing their new guitar modeling plug-in - Strum Acoustic GS-1. Following in the tradition of their modeled instruments, it contains no samples and will allow you to create various types of acoustic guitar - acoustic nylon, jumbo steel etc etc, add effects as one would expect. The real gem is that you can throw standard MIDI keyboard kind of shapes at it and it will revoice them to a more guitary voicing, including bar chords, open string and the like. You can then sequence these with strumming triggering using the top octave of the keyboard and dump them into your host DAW MIDI tracks – quite nifty. I’m sure the video will explain it far better than me though.... Available at the end of Q1 2008.
