We brought preview news of this one back in January, (see 8-bit Grit story below), and now112dB Software has announced that their Morgana sampler instrument has been released and is available immediately for WinXP/Vista in VST 2.3/2.4 format.
Morgana is an authentic representation of an early digital sampler, designed to be musical rather than accurate. Per-voice, Morgana offers extensively modeled VCFs, amp and filter envelopes. Morgana also features a unique interpolation method which enhances digital artifacts and a preamp to shape each sample, simulating a primitive analog-digital stage.
Morgana is also capable of sampling, either through its own inputs or through an innovative technology entitled SampLink which effectively allows Morgana to sample from any track in a multitrack environment in a simple and no-hassle way.
To commemorate the release of Morgana, 112dB tell us that they will donate 5% of all sales between Nov 9, 2007 and Dec 9, 2007 to the Robert Moog Foundation, an organization dedicated to memorializing the life and works of Robert Moog, the father of modern synthesis.
Pricing and Availability:
Morgana is available at the price of Eur 169, and a free 30-day demo version is also available for download. More information:
