Emagic freezes development for BeOS

US      08/04/00

After intensive talks about the new direction of the company Be, Emagic decides to freeze their software development for BeOS for an undefined amount of time. Emagic puts itself with this decision into the row of companies (e.g. Steinberg) which froze their development-work after Be announced BeOS for free Download and that they want to concentrate in the future more on Internet appliances. Emagic´s development manager Mr. Adam announced: "With this decision we gain the possibilities to speed up our development for the Windows and MacOS. In our opinion is this concentration of force in the interest of our international clients, who we feel obliged to." Submitted by Tom Finegan
