Sorry this is a flash video which has been depreciated, we're working on bringing the archives back online.
I Got Class in Pocket..
The Edirol R-09 was pretty much the first serious palm-sized field recorder to market and as such has done extremely well particularly for journalists and roving reporters alike. In fact the I saw one in front (outgoing?) Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe during a piece on BBC News 24 just the other night, so it’s clearly able to operate in stressful situations.
At MESSE this year (2008), we saw the introduction of the new R-09HR, a new, improved version of the same unit. As well as the improved resolution of up to 96kHz/24bit there are a number of other changes and enhancements.
We persuaded Andy Mac, normally the man behind the camera here at Sonicstate.com, to take a closer look at the new device.
