I bought my PS3200 in 1983 at the age of 16,I payed it 375 euros,I dint had more money, my dad paid it,it was my birtdaypresent. I found it in a music-equipment store,it was there already for 1 year, nobody wanted it,it was the period the digital sound processing took the market over. Now I'm glad,at that moment i didn't had more money, what would i do with a Juno or a Siel mono now ? So with the PS3200 i learned how to create, route and control sounds, even today, sometimes it surprises me,it has big strings, chords and crazy ambient sounds(patching). Last year i installed a Kenton kit,now its connected with my other gear trough Logic. I wil never sell it,thanks dad.

a great fully polyphonic synthesizer with memory and a very warm analog sound - perfect for stringsounds, brass and pads. It's semi-modular construction offers you many possibilities for free patching - I had to agree with richard: in cobination with my MS-20 (High Pass Filter and Noise Generator) gives you even more frexibility and noisy/fx sounds (the PS-3200 doesn't offer a noise generator). If anyone needs a copy of the manual - let me know. And if you have problems with the oscillator-boards try Rudi Lienhards firm lintronics (

The PS3200 was my first synth, I have bought it in 1983 becose I did not Ihave all the money for theDx7. Now I'm happy for that, all the PS series is a Discrete circuits construction, this permit a unique big fat analog sound something that all the virtual of today cannot never dream of. The semimodular construction permit many interesting effects,on thePs3100 and Ps3300 even the resonance is modulable. The only minus is for me the filter that is a 12db(I think)not hard as on the later Polisix.I was the first to have the external midi from Kenton in1991. Year of construction 1979,1977 for the Ps3300 the real dream of all the analog polysynth of the story.
