This review is based on the ROM's within since I have the P2K with the TSCY and Beat Garden ROM's installed. Rob Papen is a great sound designer and it shows in these 2 ROM's. The sample rate is top notch and the ability to utilize the front panel knobs for almost every aspect of programming is an incredible and very useful tool. You have a wide variety of basses, pads, kits and percussion. Rob has also been kind enough to supply 256 free extension presets and 100 free arp patterns for owners of the original TSCY ROM. The Beat Garden ROM is just like the name, BEATs. E-MU's SuperBEATs mode was introduced with the XL-1 series and is also on the Orbit-3. It is a fun tool for getting grooves started. Module specs: Current OS 1.24, 128 Voice, 32 midi channels, 12 controllers via switching on the front panel, very deep editing capabilities, upgradeable operating systems via the internet and best of all, the Rob Papen soundset. Demos of the module can be found here: and there is also a User's Group: Rob is a perfectionist and it shows in his sounds and documentation. He is always trying to show you how to get the best out of his sounds.
