The Korg AG-101 designed to be a "multimedia music system." As such, it does an adequate job. I would not use it in the studio (for one thing it uses RCA jacks), but it might be OK for making demos. The thing that I really like is that in addition to the normal MIDI in/out/thru jacks, it also has a 9-pin serial port and Windows software drivers. This lets the user connect to a laptop computer for sequencing on the road. Another nice convenience item are the audio input jacks. This lets you mix the AG-101 with another source without having to have a mixer.
