Propellerheads started back in 1994 when they first launched ReCyle- the wunder app that allowed beat-slicing for the first time when to do so inside your sampler was something only the keenest programmer would attempt. Spawing the birth of the REX file it catapulted them to software superstardom, but not at much as ReBirth - the software TB303 emulation did. I was lucky enough to spend some quality time in a leafy enclave at the NAMM show with Propellerheads Software CEO and co-founder Ernst Nathorst-Böös, where I got to ask him a few questions.
