Original tube studio gear from the early days of recording is now almost impossible to find at less than eye-watering prices.. and sometimes questionable provenance and working condition - so there's a healthy market in recreating these classics from a bygone age with modern manufacturing techniques.

Matt Newport is no stranger to the game, having already founded and sold the Blackline Audio brand, and is back now with Dizengoff, currently selling in USA and looking to the European market now.
The products are designed and made in USA, and Matt has tried to use as many suppliers from Chicago as he can.

Matt was showing three products;

  • D4 mic preamp (inspired by 'Beatles' console used 1964-68)
  • DA2 mic preamp (based on RCA BA2C)
  • D864 Vari-mu Compressor (based on Federal AM864, think Altec 436, RCA BA6, etc.)
