We are reviewing a Boss pedal every day for a month in March, and today, on day 18, it's the turn of the iconic Boss DD-7 Digital Delay pedal, packed full of delay features, loads of delay time, and settings such as reverse, modulation, analog, and even a looping function.

We're looking at 30 pedals this month, and then on the final day of March, we'll be doing a round up of our favourites. The idea being that you can quickly watch our bitesize reviews and compare one Boss pedal to another, and quickly see if you like the sound.

The DD-7 Digital Delay is one of the best known delay pedals in the world, it's a step up from the DD-3, but is the extra functionality worth the extra money?

Rich's verdict - "What can I say about the DD-7 other than 'it's awesome'? It's the industry standard in digital delay, it handles long delay times brilliantly, and multiple feedback layers, there's no horrible aliasing, it's simply a great pedal. If you are looking for a digital delay with versatility, then you should probably go for the DD-7, if you are looking for a digital delay which isn't going to take up too much space on your pedal board, it's the DD-7.

"There are so many delay pedals now which are essentially rack units rammed into a stompbox, and if you are a real delay fanatic, then these can be great. But for most guitarists out there, the DD-7 is the complete package. The loop function is also a great option for rehearsing and practicing along to riffs at home, or simply building up layers for song ideas."

RRP - £160
