We are reviewing a Boss pedal every day for a month in March, and it's now the turn of one of Boss's most recognisable pedals, the Boss OD-3 Overdrive.

We're looking at 30 pedals this month, and then on the final day of March, we'll be doing a round up of our favourites. The idea being that you can quickly watch our bitesize reviews and make a quick decision on whether you like what you hear for each of Boss' compact pedals.

Within our Boss OD-3 bitesize review, we aim to demonstrate the range of overdrive sounds available from the pedal.

Rich's verdict - "The OD-3 Overdrive pedal gives you an instant classic rock sound, it has a chiming presence in the high mids which is pleasant on the ear, and I've used it enough times in my life to know that it works well on solid state amps, as well as tube amps. It isn't a high gain pedal though, so if you are looking for something high gain, then choose a different pedal though! It serves its main function well, and that function is delivering an authentic classic rock sound."
