Alesis are on fire with new products at the moment, I have this image of some overworked engineers getting frequent phonecalls - "oh no, its the ideas man again, this time he wants us to build this...."

But actually, there's some very cool products coming out. You can never have too many keytars on the market IMHO, and the Alesis Vortex is certainly the first from them - with 37 velocity sensitive keys, 8 pads, three encoders, an octave switch, ribbon control, pitch bend and slider.

It has MIDI/USB connectivity, programmable controls and an assignable accellerometer you can strut and wiggle while actually changign the sound.

Expected to sell for $249
