Great scoop Nick!

iConnect Audio is the best news @ NAMM this year by far.

L-o-n-g wait until June/July tho.

The best thing is being computer free. Just use your instruments and don't touch a computer at all.

But yeah, I'll believe it when I see it. It's been a long time promised

My understanding was that the audio model lacks a couple of features of the MIDI 4+. No ethernet connector was one. Only one pair of MIDI din connectors was another. There might be more (less USB?).

As usual, they are showing product 'ideas' that you might see in a year or two, or maybe not at all.

The only real innovation is Audio PassThru, something that is only cool if all your sounds come from the iPad. If you record instruments like most people, than you still need a conventional audio interface. So why would you wait for their new audio interface when you could by one from a manufacturer that has been making them for years.

Spend your money on other companies that actually have products available.

What these guys are doing is not a trivial task. Audio pass thru from an iPad is a huge deal. The earlier review that Sonicstate did on the iConnect 2+ showed that these devices are truly a game changer. I have worked for other audio companies in the past and know that getting a product to market has many challenges. Kudos to these guys for attempting something as big as this.So cut these guys some slack. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it.

Nick, I'm concerned about the MIDI-to-audio latency. Could you measure it?
