Not to drag open a old thread or ahntying but wanted to throw in something the first poster pointed out. You complain because some people run off and leave you to fight the tank. Sometimes the tactical advantage is not to get banged up by the tank and save your health. For instance, instead of standing in front of thre tank guns all ablaze, try getting him to chase you around a rock so you are being chased in the right direction. At least that way you gain ground. And when he burns out or dies from gunfire you'll be that much farther along. All too often I see people who want to run up and fire into him and back away, back to the safe room instead of your goal. Just wastes health and time, IMO. Also, if I might suggest, if you get knocked down by a tank turn your flashlight off and stop firing at him. I can't come rescue you if youre drawing attention to yourself. *sigh*Back on topic, f$$$ yeah. Bring L4d3 on!b00y4

Does anyone know if there is a real review of this product online? ie. someone has used it, tested it with various known good and bad tubes, checked the results with other methods and equipment?

I have it, and have used it. As for power tubes, it weeded out four in my stash of 1970's USA tubes as worn. If you know the exact routing of all of your preamp tubes, it is an invaluable tool. Not each tube has a single purpose. In many cases, a brand new preamp tube has unmatched sides. For a phase inverter, matching is practically imperative. This unit allows you to find the status of each half a preamp tube. Learn your amp, and place the tubes appropriately.

match said in so many words that matching the triodes in a phase inverter valve was imperative. Usually only one side of the dual triode is used in this circuit. One phase of the signal will come from the plate (anode) and the inverted signal will come from the cathode. One triode circuit so no matching required. That said, I have one on order.
