Clavia is a strange company. I purchased a Nord modular back in the day and just loved that synth. What a great idea but unfortunately Clavia did not keep up with the software support in the years to come and the synth became useless because it ran on computer support. Since then I am very leary of any Clavia product. I am also sick of that red color they keep using. Get with the program.

I see what everyone's saying, but for gigging keyboard players, their stuff is really great. It sounds great, it works very well, it is well made and is light weight. I have the C2d and it is really amazing. The G2 Modular still works on current Macs, but I know what you mean, GTRman... The Electro 4 series is really great, but they are also the most limited compared to other single manual organ keyboards, and they are the most expensive. No split/layer functions between sound types, etc. The Hammond SK1 allows this, and it sounds pretty damn good too, as well as having a workable two line LCD to display drawbar settings in addition to having a set of drawbar controls. I wish Nord would allow layer/split functions on the Electro, and would have loved it if drawbars were available on the 73 key version. Finally, I think they ought to add the pitch stick and mod wheel for use with the sample library, as well as external control. If I need a good single manual organ, I might still be drawn to the NE4 because of the sound, build quality and awesome e-pianos, but at the end of the day, the organ model in my Kronos 61 is damn good. If I need better than that, then I can dig out the C2d. As a final note, it should be noted that the 500MB is flash, not standard RAM, so it is more expensive. Still, there seem to be many unnecessary limitations that would prevent me personally from investing.
