This is potentially very cool. It'd be nice to see some mainstream instruments with that unique Buchla vibe to them.

Don didn't look too happy with this. They kinda kicked him out of the video real quick, didn't they?

Interesting that there will be more accessible price points though. Looking forward to that.

I wouldnt say they kicked him out, it was kinda the opposite, they had to drag him in, Don is not keen on being on camera, we were lucky to get even that!

A Sound Easel that I could afford to buy. That would be outstanding!

Thats good to hear, Nick. I'd hate a legend like Don being treated badly, even though I can't afford his modular systems.

Current Buchla systems (including their controller) are absolutely outstanding; but prohibitively expensive for all but the wealthiest. Let's hope this means that Buchla systems will see a new future with smarter, even more modular and cheaper configurations so that many more can afford them.

Here, Don Buchla looks like a cross between a 70's period dick van dyke and charlton heston..

On a more serious and relevant note, BUCHLA modulars are "heavy", in every sense of the word. Hopefully they'll now be a bit more accessible to all of us, in terms of price and also ultimate ease of use and integration.
