Pittsburgh Modular has released a new Eurorack module called Snakes, a dual gate sequencer tailor-made for rhythm and timing tweaks in modular synthesizers. This 8hp module features two independent 16-step sequencers, offering a plethora of controls designed to enhance rhythmic compositions. This is what they have to say about it...
Snakes is built to integrate seamlessly with drum modules or any Eurorack setup that utilizes gate signals. Each of the sequencers in the module is equipped with its own set of functionalities including mute, reset, clock division, and per-step chance adjustments. Moreover, users can utilize Euclidean pattern generators, gate length accents, and customizable sequencer direction to sculpt unique rhythmic patterns.
Additional features of the Snakes include:
- Per-step morphing and ratcheting for dynamic sequence creation.
- A shared tap tempo clock or external clock source for precise timing.
- Pattern memory that allows users to save and recall sequences.
- An option to chain both sequencers together, creating a versatile 32-step sequencer.
This module is priced at $199 USD, reflecting its position as a limited edition experiment with only 200 modules available. For those interested, Snakes is now purchasable exclusively through Pittsburgh Modular's web shop.
