Serato Studio Updated

Serato has announced its partnership with Platinum, GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Cookin Soul for the Serato Studio update to version 2.3.0, which encompasses MIDI Mapping functionality. They say that the update allows beatmakers to easily map MIDI hardware controls - including faders, knobs, buttons, keys, and pads - to various functions within the Serato Studio DAW, creating a more tactile music production experience.

In celebration of the advancement, Cookin Soul will kick off Serato's "Pass the Sauce" social-led movement. The acclaimed producer - along with some of the most versatile and emerging names in beatmaking - will come together to share their "secret sauce" to their creative workflow and mapping MIDI hardware with Serato Studio. Serato and Cookin Soul are also calling for music producers to join in and share their own "sauce." The campaign will provide the beatmaking community with unique, educational, and inspirational content to enhance their production techniques. The movement kicks off on Instagram Saturday, July 20 (NZST) on Cookin Soul's official channel.

Additionally, Serato will host "Cookin With Hardware" workshops and events with Cookin Soul in Los Angeles (July 30) and New York City (August 3), collaborating with local music schools and institutions to energize and educate the music production community. Attendees will get an inside look into his creative workflow using MIDI hardware within Studio and the opportunity to participate in a beat-making competition.

The Serato Studio 2.3.0 update puts a more creative touch on the music production experience - reminiscent of using iconic drum machines - but with the physical intuitiveness and conveniences of Serato's modern DAW.
