Bristronica 2023: Georgie Ward Back From Dua Lipa World Tour

US New EP out October 6th      01/10/23

At Machina Bristronica 2023, we had a chat with Georgie Ward, a talented keyboardist we've spoken to before during lockdown (she set some Christmas quiz questions!).

Georgie recently wrapped up a year-long world arena tour with Dua Lipa. She shared her experiences of performing in arenas and stadiums, highlighting the electric energy and massive crowds that are characteristic of such venues. She also discussed the challenges of touring, including the extensive travel and the need for consistency in performances.

Since returning from the tour, Georgie has been busy working on her upcoming EP titled "Flightless," which features instrumental electronic tracks inspired by different styles of movement. She explained how her recovery from foot surgery influenced the creation of the EP, with some tracks being composed while she was sitting on the floor with synthesizers on her lap. Georgie also mentioned her involvement in session work, classical projects, and collaborations, including upcoming performances at the Bristol Beacon. While the touring life has its rewards, she acknowledged that it's not for everyone and shared her excitement about future musical endeavors.

For those interested in Georgie Ward's music and upcoming EP "Flightless," you can stay updated on her work through her official channels and keep an eye out for the EP's release on October 6th, 2023.
