Headline Green Man Festival

US Competition to grace the main stage open for applications      24/03/23

Headline Green Man Festival

The Green Man Festival is an independent music, science and arts festival held annually in mid-August in the Brecon Beacons, Wales. They run a competition called Green Man Rising which enables unsigned bands to win the chance to headline the festival.

Our annual band competition is all about finding headliners of the future. So want to grab a place on our line-up, record a live session & showcase your music to top music industry maestros?

The Shortlist

Each entry is listened to by our very own team and whittled down to a longlist, which then goes to a public vote to get our shortlist of 5!

The Final

Our shortlist of 5 all perform in our online final! Each act gets a video session, recorded by us in Cardiff, which then goes to a panel of expert judges who crown the winner. Previous judges have been from Domino Records, Moshi Moshi, Beggars, Bella Union, Creative Artist Agency, William Morris, Speedy Wunderground, Heavenly Recordings, BBC Radio, Communion, Guardian Music and our very own Green Man.

The Winner

The worthy winner will grace the main stage at Green Man 2023!

Applications close 30th April.
