US Orchestral Tools and Berklee College of Music launch new series on Youtube 23/01/23

Orchestral Tools has announced the launch of Virtual Orchestration, a new Youtube channel created in collaboration with Berklee College of Music dedicated to learning the art of composing with sampled orchestral instruments. The channel is open to all, with episodes aimed at both aspiring and experienced composers looking to expand their musical capabilities. To celebrate the launch, Orchestral Tools is making their flagship Berlin Orchestra Collection available for a special offer price of €399+ VAT (regular price €849 + VAT) until January 31, 2023.

Hosted by composer Alex Lamy, Virtual Orchestration will explore every aspect of the compositional creative process. The wealth of knowledge being made available has been curated alongside the preeminent faculty of Berklee College of Music's Screen Scoring department, as well as some well-known special guest presenters from the professional scoring world. Each lesson is designed to be both inspiring and practical with a wealth of useful tips and tricks that can be quickly implemented into any composer's workflow. The first episodes of Season 1 are available now, and the channel will release a new episode every Sunday.

The channel grew out of the unique and ongoing relationship between Orchestral Tools and Berklee College of Music. Berklee's Screen Scoring faculty had already worked directly with the sample library developers to build the Berlin Orchestra--a full symphony orchestra library designed to meet the exact requirements of Berklee's Screen Scoring curriculum, and provide students with a professional-grade toolkit that can support them in the professional world as well as in the classroom. The idea to provide free videos for learning orchestration evolved quite naturally, and now the Virtual Orchestration channel is finally available. Importantly, the channel represents a commitment by both Berklee and Orchestral Tools to continue the collaboration, and provide valuable learning resources for a world-wide audience.
