Making Waves On The Sonicware SmplTrek

US Portable sampler in Cuckoo's hands      01/12/22

There are a vast range of modern samplers to choose form right now, so seeing them in action - or for yourself is the only way to decide on which one you might need (yes, need!). Here we have Cuckoo building a track on the Sonicware SmplTrek, using the machine to build a track complete with vocal overdubs. Full marks for alibiing vocals and going all in on the ultra chilled grooves - what else do we expect?!

It certainly has a small form factor but build quality looks good, and it's almost Elektron-esq in it's design. It has a pre order price of $399, which will revert to $429 once it's released.
