Given the opportunity to talk to one of the synthesizer industry legends, we jumped at the chance. Tom Oberheim has been making synthesizers since the 1970's and is responsible for a lot of the great sounds we've heard over the years from his classic instruments.
Its been an eventful few years for Oberheim, Tom got his brand name back, thanks to the efforts of Marcus Ryle (Line 6 founder) and together with the team at Sequential have now produced the OB-X8 which is a monster of a synth that encompasses these essence of much of the Oberheim range.
We had a chat on the booth.
