More Patches For Omnisphere 2

US ILIO releases Waverunner Patch Library      25/05/22

ILIO and sound designers Reverb Machine and MIDIhead have announced Waverunner, a new collection of patches for Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2. They say that the brand-new library is a melding of 80s and early 90s-inspired analog synth sounds, brought to new life with a decidedly modern feel. A spokesperson told us, "Influences from Stranger Things, The Weeknd, Depeche Mode, The Midnight, FM-84, HOME, Hotel Pools, Voyage, Memorex Memories, and many more are ready-made to inspire."

Here's more details direct from ILIO...

Waverunner is equipped with cinematic arps/BPM, rich pads, leads, basses, plucks, and a large assortment of poly synth patches recalling vintage analog synthesizers of the 80s and 90s. Just like a vintage synthesizer, the sounds of Waverunner can transcend genres and lend themselves to a wide variety of compositional applications. While well-suited for electronic film scoring, Waverunner truly shines where foreground classic synthesizers are a must, such as LoFi, Synthwave, Retrowave, Downtempo and Chillwave, Vaporwave, Dream Pop, Synth Pop, Darkwave, Future Electro, and Cyberpunk.

Each patch in Waverunner is programmed with special attention to fit like a glove in the mix. And with 119 patches included, Waverunner will provide enough inspirational flow to keep its users riding that creative wave for hours.

About the Sound Designers

Reverb Machine is the work of Dan Carr, a London-based electronic music producer, sound designer, and musician. After working predominantly as a live musician, he started exploring the world of synthesizers, sharing presets and sound design tips on his website, and has amassed a large social media presence as a result. Topics include the synth sounds of popular artists, the generative music techniques of Brian Eno, and music theory.

Michael (MIDIhead) Babbitt is an electronic music producer, songwriter/vocalist, and sound designer who has had original scores in movie trailers for The Matrix Reloaded, Silent Hill, and Mad Max-Fury Road, as well as a variety of television shows such as Dexter, CSI, Prison Break, MythBusters, Miami Ink, America's Next Top Model (to name a few) and many remixes and original songs appearing in Konami's Dance, Dance, Revolution video game series. He's also produced all of ILIO's Omnisphere patch libraries.

Waverunner loads quickly and easily into Omnisphere 2.8 or higher. Each sound is optimized for use with your modulation wheel for real time control on stage or in the studio.

Requires Omnisphere version 2.8 or higher.
