Simon The Magpie is known for his wild soldering experiments, mixing together numerous technologies for a completely new angle on music making. Here he is attaching a cassette machine to a toy piano, adding a PWM power mod to control the playback and recording pitch to wonderful results!
He has two recording options, including a contact microphone and uses a cassette loaded with a tape loop from Tataki. The resulting song he makes is probably one of my favourite diy-youtube-made tracks I've ever heard, somehow fusing the sounds of AK/DK and Holy F*ck with incredible ease. Great work Simon!
