John Carpenter has collated a Freak Zone Playlist of his favourite Horror and Sci-Fi tracks for the BBC Radio 6 show hosted by Stuart Maconie. Tracks include his own music as well as those of John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and Mike Oldfield. Here are the details from the programme page:
Director and composer, John Carpenter, picks 60 minutes of his favourite Horror and Sci-Fi scores, featuring music from Jaws, Psycho, The Thing, Forbidden Planet and The Exorcist. John's hypnotic theme to his 1978 horror masterpiece Halloween has embodied slasher-stalker anxiety for generations of film goers, and over the next sixty minutes, he guides us through some of the spine tingling sounds from the silver screen. So sit down, settle in...... and don't get scared.
It'll be available for a month from broadcast and may have some geographical restrictions. Tune into this special Freak Zone Playlist here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0010y8g
