If you're using software reverb, you will have come across the gorgeous Valhalla collection of plugins. Each offered at $50 (or free!) they have become equally as much an industry standard as a bedroom producer favorite. In the tech talk section of their blog, they've kindly gone into how to get started in designing a reverb - with two parts now available.
Part 1 covers the possible development environments in which to start creating a reverb, with part 2 looking at the foundations of the actual design - featuring a wealth fo reference material to dig into. A superb set of resources for beginners and audio enthusiasts alike - and very generous of them to share their knowledge. We look forward to a part 3!
