Puremagnetik Releases Paradigm Synth

US Generative texture synth is first in the new Lore series of open source Csound pieces/plugins      16/09/21

Puremagnetik has launched a new series called Lore. Lore is a monthly installment of sound pieces that can also be used as plugins in any DAW. The first Lore is called Paradigm and it is a generative, texture synthesizer with a physically modeled percussive voice, a bowed string voice and a filtered noise generator.

Puremagnetik's Micah Frank told us, "The concept originated when I started creating generative sculptures in Csound and discovered I could use the DAW as a delivery method - allowing users to engage with the pieces. They are a combination of sound art and (hopefully) useful musical tools - one can even leave them running as background music that is both interesting and completely ignorable ;) For each of them I have collaborated with my good friend and master illustrator Dan Meth to design the visual art and interfaces.

Lore is open source so anyone can grab the code from my github and compile the pieces themselves in Cabbage - but to support the project, the ready-to-play plugins are delivered as part of the regular Puremagnetik monthly subscription (now on Patreon). The license is CC BY-NC 4.0"
