Nylon String Guitar For Kontakt

US Native Instruments releases SESSION GUITARIST -- PICKED NYLON      19/08/21

Native Instruments has released SESSION GUITARIST -- PICKED NYLON, the latest addition to their range of KONTAKT-based instruments, created in collaboration with Drumasonic. Here's more details in their own words...

PICKED NYLON perfectly complements the other acoustic releases in the SESSION GUITARIST collection. The instrument delivers the unmistakably pure, warm sound of a nylon-stringed guitar, allowing producers and media composers to create a completely authentic tone for traditional genres like flamenco, bossa nova, jazz, and classical.

The sounds of PICKED NYLON were recorded in a carefully controlled studio environment, from a one-of-a-kind instrument built by master guitar-maker Lisa Weinzierl. Now the rich textures and timbres of this truly exceptional guitar are painstakingly captured and made accessible to all in a single KONTAKT instrument. The guitar was carefully tested amongst a range of contenders, and selected due to its superior level of balance and versatility.

To create her guitars, Lisa uses centuries-old techniques inspired by traditional Cremonese luthiers such as Stradivarius, with meticulously chosen materials including maple and spruce. We created this short documentary video to take an in-depth look inside Lisa's workshop, and showcase the process that makes her guitars sound so special.
