Massenburg EQ Is Not Just For Pro Tools

US Massenburg DesignWorks releases MDWEQ6 parametric EQ for VST and AU formats      08/06/21

Massenburg EQ Is Not Just For Pro Tools

Developed by the creator of the parametric EQ, George Massenburg, the new Massenburg DesignWorks MDWEQ6 high-resolution parametric EQ  is now available for VST and AU applications. Two packages are available including AAX Native, VST and AU formats, with or without AAX DSP for Pro Tools HDX and Pro Tools | Carbon interfaces. A full demo version is also available. Here's the details direct from the company...

Following the successful introduction of the MDWEQ6 for Pro Tools in 2020, these new versions for both Mac (AAX, VST & AU) and Windows (AAX & VST) are a result of a large number of requests from customers for MDWEQ6 to support a wider range of applications, including Logic Pro, Final Cut X, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Digital Performer, Cubase, Nuendo, Pyramix, Ableton Live and Studio One.

Built on the venerable and unique MDW filter-form the MDWEQ6 includes a host of professional features including a new active spectrum display, new high and low pass filters, high Q shelves with sharper transitions, and node points for ease of parameter adjustment directly on the graph.

Refine sounds using constant shape reciprocal filter curves from the industry-standard reference - unlike other brands of plug-in products, the MDWEQ6 reliably processes audio exactly as it states making surgical 'EQ'ing' easier than ever. This new generation plug-in emulates the constant shape (i.e. reciprocal) filter curves of the industry-standard reference for parametric EQ, Massenburg's legendary GML 8200 equalizer. It performs as the user expects, not an estimation or compromise.

Pricing and Availability:
Version MDWEQ6-AAX+ full license is available from the MDW website for $329, including Pro Tools AAX DSP & Native, VST and AU plugin formats. MDWEQ6-Native+ for $199 includes AAX Native, VST and AU formats. Upgrades are available to both versions from $15 for customers with MDWEQ5 and MDWEQ6-AAX.
