How To Remember Your MIDI Mappings

US Custom made display for live performances      16/05/21

We've all experienced making numerous MIDI assignments and eventually struggling to remember what does what. Kristoffer Lislegaard is a Norwegian artist working in sound and technology, who's created a superb solution using an Arduino Uno.

His custom controller setup became so complex that he needed a way to display what knobs and buttons he's changing while performing. He was inspired by the Ableton Push and Novation Remote controllers to make the device - a great example of necessity being the mother of invention.
