Meditate With Moby

Artist performs improvised ambient pieces for relaxation, sleep and study      27/04/21

Electronic artist Moby is best known for his stadium shaking dance anthems and soul-sampled pop hits. He's also made some influential ambient/down tempo tracks like 'God Moving Over The Face Of The Waters' and the unmistakable Porcelain. In this recent live performance he improvises a number of pieces during the first few months of the pandemic, designed to be "as undemanding as the listener wants them to be".

He states there were 3 rules for the performance:

1. they had to be strictly improvised. nothing was written or rehearsed beforehand, everything was recorded as it was being played for the first time.

2. i wasn't allowed to go back and change or edit any of the improvised performances.

3. every part of the process, from recording to mixing to listening, had to be calming

It's a gorgeous audio backdrop with over an hour and a half of lush ambiences and contemplative sounds. Why not give it a Go
