Full Restoration Of A Minimoog Model D

There have been many synths found in a state and brought back from the dead - Andy Colllins of Antech shared photos of the Minimoog and Oberheim OBX-a he worked on for Gary Numan, which looked rather worse for wear when it was found. Now Bell Tone Synth Works have done a similar job and documented the process of recovery in full.

The article is titled "Restoring the Saddest Minimoog in the World" but I think we can agree Gary Numan's synth was a bit sadder! Either way, it's a painstaking process which requires a great level of skill, optimism and foresight - considering the state of the inner workings of the Minimoog Model D and what needed to be fixed, it's no mean feat.
