Content is divided into areas: (their terms):
  • Tech Nerd
  • Just Here for the Music
  • At the Club
  • A Total Novice

Each with pretty deep levels of resources on each, including VR and Augmented Reality, slide shows, audio, archive images and text. Honestly,  its a massive undertaking, you can get lost wandering around this virtual exhibition for hours. During our brief exploration we found information on the Telharmonium, Kraftwerk, the Model (original german version) Vangelis' Blade Runner soundtrack and so much more.

Google partenered with a bunch of sponsors and resources to pull this together - over 50 from 15 countries:

13,000+ archived photo and video assets, 200 online exhibitions, 360° tours and 3D scans along with bespoke editorial features delving into scenes, sounds and iconic cities - highlights of which can be found below. Music, Makers & Machines will also come with lesson plans for schools and students for classroom or online learning.

its not only impressive, but shows a more benign and culturally focussed side to the Google Megacorp, which seems to be following a small but discernable shift in the perception of music and its value in culture and back to being an art form rather than just a digital commodity.
