Isotonik Studios has released Maze by developers Noiss COKO. They describe it as a simple Max for Live looping device, inspired by the Time Lag Accumulator system developed by electronic music composer Terry Riley.
A spokesperson told us, "Known as one of the earliest live recording technics, it is constructed around a short tape loop and two reel to reel tape machines. The first records the sound while the other plays it back shortly after, thus creating an endless feedback loop. The same approach was also adopted by many other musicians throughout the years, with Brian Eno and Robert Fripp probably being one of the most popular examples of all."
