Up and coming musicians and performers across Europe are being offered an opportunity to go to the iconic Metropolis Studios in London to work with Grammy award-winning audio engineers thanks to a new "Hit the Studio" Golden Ticket promotion by Harman's AKG, JBL Professional and Soundcraft brands. Here's their press release with the full details...
LONDON --HARMAN Professional Solutions has launched the Hit The Studio Golden Ticket promotion, which gives musicians in participating European countries the chance to win a Golden Ticket for an all-expenses paid trip to the iconic Metropolis Studios in London for a tour and recording session.
In addition, one of the Golden Ticket winners will be chosen for MY METROPOLIS TIME – a personalised day at Metropolis Studios to work on their own original music with some of its Grammy Award-winning audio engineers, including Liam Nolan (Adele, Clean Bandit, Jess Glynne and Calvin Harris).
"AKG, JBL Professional and Soundcraft are offering an exceptional, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to our customers across Europe to follow in the footsteps of world-famous recording artists who have worked in these studios," said Michelle Downey, EMEA Marketing Director, HARMAN Professional Solutions. "The producing, engineering and mastering talent at Metropolis are among the best in the world and our winners will have one-to-one interaction to ask questions and hone their recording skills."
Golden Ticket holders will be treated to three days of fun and festivities:
- Day 1 – Golden Ticket holders will travel in style to London for dinner and drinks.
- Day 2 – Breakfast at Metropolis Studios, followed by a studio tour and watching a live recording session. After lunch, Golden Ticket holders will hit the studio themselves for a group recording session. All Golden Ticket winners will take home a tailored vinyl of the recorded track. At the end of Day 2, it will be revealed who the lucky MY METROPOLIS TIME winner is.
- Day 3 – The MY METROPOLIS TIME competition winner will spend the day in studio with some of Metropolis' world-famous audio and mastering engineers working on their own original music.
To win a Golden Ticket and enter the MY METROPOLIS TIME competition, customers must purchase a qualifying product from 1st October to 31st December 2020, and fill out the entry form online. The MY METROPOLIS TIME competition winner will be selected by a panel of judges from Metropolis and AKG based on a number of factors, including the quality and creativity of their music.
The event is expected to be hosted at Metropolis Studios in May 2021.
